Metal-Clad Compartmentalized Construction
The KYN61-40.5 is divided into four defined areas: instrument room, handcart room, busbar room and cable room.
Instrument room: Accommodates the secondary equipment arrangement shown in the switchgear structure.
Handcart room: Houses the withdrawable circuit breaker handcart.
Busbar room: Contains the main busbar and busbar bushing.
Cable room: Accommodates the cable connection, current transformer and earthing switch.
Withdrawable Circuit Breaker Arrangement
The KYN61-40.5 uses a withdrawable circuit breaker handcart installed in a dedicated handcart compartment.
Circuit Breaker: Withdrawable circuit breaker handcart
Breaker Compartment: Dedicated handcart room
Primary Connection: Contact box
Secondary Connection: Secondary plug
Circuit Breaker Compatibility: VS1 / VD4 series

Project Configuration
The final KYN61-40.5 lineup is based on the customer's single-line diagram, feeder arrangement and protection requirements.
Control Circuit Voltage: DC 110 / 220 V; AC 110 / 220 V
Single-Line Diagram: Incoming, outgoing, transformer feeder and bus-coupler arrangement
Feeder Schedule: Panel quantity and feeder arrangement
Transformer Feeder Requirements: Transformer feeder electrical requirements
CT / VT Requirements: Current and voltage transformer requirements for measurement and protection
Protection Requirements: Required protection functions and relay configuration
Cable Arrangement: Cable connection and entry requirements
The approved single-line diagram and feeder schedule are used to confirm the final lineup before production.
Applications
Substation Distribution
Incoming and outgoing feeder panels for indoor 40.5 kV substations.
Transformer Feeders
Medium voltage feeder panels connecting the switchgear lineup with transformers.
Bus Coupling
Bus-coupler panels for connecting or separating two bus sections.
